For most of my life,
auto racing has been the one sport which has captivated me as a spectator.
As a boy, I would listen to the NASCAR
races on the radio. And of course there was Indy!
As more and more open wheel racing was available on both radio and
television, I also grew to be quite a fan. CART
is an open wheel series in the United States that offers different
types of circuits for its races. Sanctioned by the Indy
Racing League, I have a special place in my heart for
the Indianapolis 500 and maintain tickets at the Speedway each year
for The Race!
My interest in this sport
caused me to attend the Skip
Barber Racing School in March of 1993 at Sebring, FL..
This three day school was one of the most exhilarating experiences
available to human kind! I have continued to enjoy this
form of open wheel racing vehicle ever since.
