Brian:
There was no great hurry on
our part to arise this morning because, for the first time in
weeks, there was no set timetable! Notice I used the word set,
because, after all, life always relates the clock, a belief not
entirely shared by my new bride. Differing philosophies of a chronometer
based life aside, the pressure was finally off and what a relief
that was to each of us. After a great breakfast and some more
time with Juanita, it was off to Yosemite or at least Groveland,
which is about 45 miles west north west of Yosemite. We managed
to stop a few miles from Groveland at Don Pedro Lake: so beautiful,
even in October when the water level is lower. It is one of my
favorite vistas and I was so pleased to have the opportunity to
share it with wife Joyce. Jeanne and Charles (Bud) Linn reside
in Groveland and had graciously acquiesced to opening their home
(complete with upstairs suite and private entrance) to us for
a honeymoon base. We arrived mid afternoon and the remainder of
the day was spent talking, catching up, and having dinner; Jeanne
and Bud are wonderful in hosting their guests! |
